Evo da dodam i Keja, pošto EF generalno slabo čitam ali svidele su mi se i njegova Sarantija i Tigana, iako svaka od njih iz drugih razloga. Uz to, svaki pisac koji je u stanju da napiše smisleni i čitljivi SF ili EF u obimu do tri knjige a da ne pravi od zapleta telenovelu u 10+ knjiga ima moju podršku u startu

Sad, ovo je možda malo čudno, s obzirom da nema mnogo dela u ovom "žanru", ali ne volim mnogo epove, jer su često teški za razumevanje, pre svega zbog lošeg prevoda, mada moram reći da me je finski ep Kalevala oduševio. Pročitao sam oko polovinu na engleskom, što je negde oko 25 "runa", i nastavljam dalje.
Zaista neverovatno delo. Iznenađujuće je da su Finci uspeli da očuvaju svoju pagansku kulturu i tradiciju na ovaj način, iako su kao narod dobar deo svog postojanja proveli pod stranom vlašću odn. uticajima, bilo od strane Šveđana, Rusa ili nekih trećih.
Ko zna, možda posle ovoga i krenem da čitam druge epove.

Ja epove volim a baš Kalevalu nikad nisam bila u stanju da pročitam

Verovatno je ta zbirka. Secam se da je imala lepe ilustracije. Ne se cam se detalja buduci da sam je citao pre jace od 25 godina

Kad smo već kod Kalevale (i epova uopšte), ima li izdavača koji su to izdali (mislim da je Rad izdao Kalevalu, ali ko zna kad je to bilo)?

Ja imam to Radovo izdanje, moje je iz 64te. Na Sajmu prošvrljaj po onom antikvraskom sektoru, bude tu uvek tih Radovih izdanja, možda naletiš.

Ja sam čitala onu narandžastu ediciju "Dom i škola" to je pretpostavljam to Radovo izdanje, mislim da je bilo iz osamdesetih, ko zna, možda ima i novijih izdanja.

Južnjak, ja inače epove takođe ne čitam (ako ne moram), ali stvarno si me zainteresovao. Moraću da pogledam...
Dodala bih nešto na svoje primere iz prvog posta. Ovo je možda malo neobična kategorija, ali počela sam da se interesujem i za 'likove iz čitanki', što me nikada nije zanimalo. Na primer, Po. Ili Puškin.
